McLuhan Contextualization Assignment

Below are links to two videos, the Preface to McLuhan’s The Mechanical Bride, Edgar Allan Poe’s short story “A Decent into the Maelstrom.” Watch the videos “Lobby” and “Chapel,” read McLuhan’s two-page preface, and write a short explanation that explains the connection between the text and the image on pages 150-151 of The Medium is the Massage. You may use this assignment as the basis of an annotation for Project 3.
