- Announcements:
- General questions.
- Discuss end-of-term: Rather than submit a full final portfolio, you will want to submit one project for final evaluation. If you are happy with one of your projects as is (that is, it has received a grade you are happy with), you may submit that as is. Otherwise, you are encouraged to revise the project once again. Regardless, you will want to submit the following in a folder:
- A final draft of one project for evaluation,
- All earlier drafts of that project, including the previous instructor-review draft with my comments. Please place these drafts in reverse chronological order, with any prewriting at the end, the first draft before the prewriting, the second draft before the first draft, etc.
- Please include a postwrite that does one of two things:
- Explains that you are happy with the project’s current grade and you have done no additional revision, or
- A narrative description of what changes you made during this final revision.
- This final project will be due by 12:00 PM, Thursday, Dec. 18.
- Course Evaluations.
- Homework
- Journal entry.
- Prepare final project. (Due: 12:00 PM, Thursday, Dec. 18.)
- Collect Program Assessment Materials. (Due: 12:00 PM, Thursday, Dec. 18.)

As discussed in the course syllabus, in order to help the Composition Program assess how it is doing in meeting its goals, you will be asked to submit some of your work at the end of the term for the Program Assessment. While these pieces will be projects you create for this course, they will be submitted separately from any material you are asked to submit for the course such as the Final Portfolio. Assignment
The purpose of the Final Portfolio is to allow you to reflect upon the material we have covered and the work you have done in this class. Specifically, it is to allow you to take stock of the course and what you have learned. Your portfolio will consist of three sections:
- a table of contents,
- a portfolio essay with supplementary material supporting the portfolio essay, and
- two revised writing projects.
The purpose of your portfolio is to demonstrate your learning and achievement in this course. Your portfolio will contain the various documents necessary to help you make your case, the essay in which you make your argument, and a table of contents to help make your portfolio clear.
